My name is Sarvenaz Tash and I'll be your host for this leg of the hunt. I'm the author of The Geek's Guide to Unrequited Love (an Amazon Best Book of the Year, YALSA Top Ten Quick Pick for Reluctant YA Readers) and the upcoming rom-com, Virtually Yours, releasing on June 4, 2019. In Virtually Yours, a college freshman tries out a virtual reality dating app only to be matched up with the ex she's not over, and one of her new best friends at school. It was pitched as a rom-com Black Mirror and you can win an advance signed copy of the book via the giveaway at the bottom of this post! (U.S. only)
Go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page to find out all about the hunt or to find a full list of participating authors in case you are stuck. There are five contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or all. I’m a part of the RED TEAM–but there is also a purple team, a gold team, a blue team, and a green team you can follow for a chance to win a whole different set of books.

My favorite Rom Com is You've Got Mail!
ReplyDeleteMy fave rom-com is The Proposal :)
ReplyDeleteMegan S.
I really love the rom com, Leap Year! I've always been fascinated with Ireland, and Amy Adams is a wonderful actress in that movie!
ReplyDeleteCrazy Rich Asians for me!
ReplyDeleteThat's a tough one since I don't watch very many rom coms. Now if you had asked what my favorite horror movie is, well that's a different story lol. I did watch the new Overboard movie a couple days ago and really liked it though!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a favorite rom com. I don't really like Rom Coms. I will say that I did have an adored preference of Sundays At Tiffany's , but I can't remember if I liked the book or the movie because it was years ago. And I didn't write it down. I just know that I loved one and abhored the other-I probably liked the book better TBH. Movies mess things up. But I can't honestly say I remember. I just know, one was HORRIBLE and the other was amazing.
ReplyDeleteALSO, if you go to Brendan Reichs comments, I totally gushed about your book for the first half of the long, ADD driven comment (i started gushing about your book and ended up talking about that Rebel Wilson movie and then moved on to the horrible Amy Schumer movie because as you can see, what with my mention of Sunday's at Tiffany's I'm very opinionated about these things (I was trained to be though, like #theatremajor one time in Shakespeare English class we could write a review on a Shakespeare play for extra credit and I got 130 points because I did it in the very thorough format of a theatre major and my teacher loved me). Anyway.
I’m not sure if you meant books or movies so I’m going to answer with a book. I loved Frosted Sweets by A.M. Willard. Such a great book.
ReplyDelete"What's your favorite rom-com?" Hmm. A very good book is "Holy Crap! the World Is Ending!: How a Trip to the Bookstore Led to Sex with an Alien" by Anna-Marie Abell.
ReplyDeleteWhen Harry Met Sally.
ReplyDeleteFailure to Launch
ReplyDeleteMy favourite Rom-com is I Believe in a Thing Called Love by Maurene Goo :D
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what my favorite would be maybe Leap Year.
ReplyDeleteMan that’s a difficult question to answer... there are so many great rom coms! My favorite at least for today would be Princess Bride. I can’t wait for the stage production to come out!
ReplyDeletethe proposal
ReplyDeleteJeez, that's a hard one. Maybe She's the Man. I love the old Amanda Bynes movies. I also like the Cinderella movie with Hillary Duff.
ReplyDeleteOh, for books it would probably be An Abundance of Katherines!I think I like book rom-coms even more than movie ones!
DeleteCurrently it is the Texting series by Teagan Hunter.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Rom Com is hard to narrow down. I think of Pride and Prejudice as one. I also love 10 things I hate about you, You've got mail, Leap Year, the Proposal, Never Been Kissed, The Wedding Singer, 50 first dates, Blast from the Past, etc. Wow I guess I have a lot :)
ReplyDeleteOne of my all-time favorite Rom Coms is The Proposal. It's such a fun movie!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance! :)
I don't read much rom coms but I'm in love with all Sarah Dessen's books! My favorite rom com movie has to be 50 First Dates ❤
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Rom Com is While you Were Sleeping.
